The Research Data Center "International Survey Programmes"
at GESIS

The Research Data Center "International Survey Programmes" provides researchers with data, services, and consultation on a number of important international study series. These study series are under intensive curation by GESIS. They have in common that they cover numerous countries and, quite often, substantial time spans.

At present, the RDC maintains extended services for these survey programmes:

• CSES - Comparative Survey of Electoral Systems (http://www.cses.org/)
• Eurobarometer (http://www.gesis.org/eurobarometer/)
• EVS - European Values Study (http://www.europeanvaluesstudy.eu/; http://www.gesis.org/evs/)
• ISSP - International Social Survey Programme (http://www.issp.org/; http://www.gesis.org/en/services/data/survey-data/issp/)
• PIREDEU - Providing an Infrastructure for Research on Electoral Democracy in the European Union (http://www.piredeu.eu/)

Beyond providing the mere availability of the study data, the services of the RDC focus on reducing the problems that users would usually have due to issues of comparability over space and time. Such issues lead to a high demand for data preparation and consultation. By offering these, the RDC provides optimal access to a wide scope of data and topics for comparative analysis.

The RDC "International Survey Programmes" fully complies with the Criteria of the German Data Forum (RatSWD).
