Prof. Dr. Ulrich Rendtel

Professor at the Institute for Statistics and Econometrics at the Free University of Berlin

Studied Mathematics in Düsseldorf and Berlin; completed a Doctoral Degree and Habilitation at the Free University of Berlin. Research Associate at the Free University of Berlin and the DIW Berlin. Since 2003, Professor of Applied Statistics at the Free University of Berlin; formerly, Professor of Statistics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt.

Ulrich Rendtel is a member of the committee "Education and Continuing Education" of the German Statistical Society, a member of the scientific advisory circle of the joint federal and Länder working group, "Official Statistics and Socio–Economic Investigations," on the editorial advisory board of the Allgemeines Statistisches Archivs (AStA) journal of the German Statistical Society, and member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI).

Research Areas: panel surveys, methodology and consultation on statistical surveys, weighting of samples, handling of nonresponse problems, statistical analysis of longitudinal data.
