The Research Data Centre of the German Pension Insurance (FDZ-RV) provides process-produced microdata from datasets of the German Pension Insurance for non-commercial research purposes in accordance with transparent and standardised regulation. The FDZ-RV is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Forschungsnetzwerk Alterssicherung (FNA), a research network.
It was established on the basis of the recommendations of the Commission for the Improvement of the Informational Infrastructure between Research and Statistics (KVI).
In accordance with data protection regulation, the FDZ-RV produces microdata sets as de-facto anonymised scientific use files and anonymised public use files. These are made available for research purposes following a successful application and data use agreement. The FDZ-RV supports the scientific community, whether in research or teaching, in selecting data, interpreting data and by hosting user workshops.
